In a recent statement shared on social media, Aleema Khan has raised serious concerns about the condition and treatment of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in custody.
According to her, Imran Khan has been kept in solitary confinement since October 2025. She says that during this time, his contact with family has been extremely limited, and he has only been able to speak to his sons a few times under court orders.
Aleema Khan also claims that his access to basic facilities, including books, has been restricted, with only a few books reaching him despite repeated efforts. She says this isolation has affected his daily routine and overall well-being.
The statement further alleges that Imran Khan developed a serious eye condition while in jail. She claims that he repeatedly informed jail authorities that he was facing difficulty in vision, but proper specialist medical care was delayed. According to her, this delay led to complications in his eye condition.
She has also expressed concern that his other eye could be at risk if proper diagnosis and treatment are not provided on time. Aleema Khan has called for his medical examination at a well-equipped hospital and better healthcare facilities.
In the same statement, she also mentioned that Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife, recently faced an eye-related health issue and underwent a procedure.
Aleema Khan has described the situation as worrying and has urged authorities to ensure proper medical care and basic rights for the former prime minister. She has also called for transparency in his treatment and conditions inside the jail.
