In a fresh statement that has once again brought attention to India-Pakistan relations, Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said that India has still not provided any solid evidence regarding the Pahalgam attack, even after one full year has passed.
According to Tarar, Pakistan has repeatedly asked for a transparent and neutral investigation into the incident, but India has not shared any verifiable proof in support of its allegations. He said that making serious accusations without evidence only increases misunderstandings and tensions between the two countries.
The statement comes on the anniversary of the 2025 Pahalgam incident, which had already created strong diplomatic friction between Islamabad and New Delhi at that time. Since then, both countries have continued to present different positions on what actually happened, with no joint investigation agreed upon.
Tarar further mentioned that Pakistan has always supported fact-based inquiry and believes that any accusation should be backed by clear evidence. He added that in sensitive matters like this, silence on evidence only raises more questions and does not help in reducing regional tensions.
The issue remains part of the wider political and diplomatic strain between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, where trust is already limited and communication on security matters is often complicated.
