A heartbreaking incident from Lahore has shocked the entire country after police confirmed that a mother has allegedly confessed to killing her three young children in the Shah Jamal area.
According to police reports and investigations, the tragic incident involved two girls and a small boy who were found dead inside their home. The children were identified as Momina Batool (5), her brother Momin Raza (4), and their youngest sister Umme Habiba (around 1.5 years old).
The case initially appeared to be a mysterious murder, which caused fear and confusion in the area. Rescue teams and police were called after the children were found inside the house. Their bodies showed signs of severe injuries, and it was later confirmed that their throats had been slit.
At first, the investigation moved in different directions, and several family members were also questioned due to unclear statements. However, things took a major turn when police gathered CCTV footage and other forensic evidence from the area.
During interrogation, police sources say the mother confessed to the crime. She also reportedly tried to mislead investigators by blaming other family members in the beginning. According to officials, inconsistencies in her statements and evidence from the crime scene raised strong suspicion against her.
Investigators also suggested that domestic disputes between the couple and tensions within the family may have played a role in the tragic incident. However, the exact motive is still being examined.
The incident has left the local community deeply disturbed. Residents of the area said they could not believe something so tragic could happen inside a home where three innocent children lived.
Authorities, including senior police officials and the provincial leadership, have ordered a detailed investigation and asked for strict legal action based on findings.
Police say they are still collecting evidence and trying to understand the full background of the case. More arrests and questioning of relatives may also take place depending on the investigation.
This case has once again raised serious concerns about mental health, domestic disputes, and child safety in society.
